BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) - A suspected murderer is in custody for a deadly shooting that happened back in June.
Baton Rouge Police Homicide detectives arrested Henry Ray Thomas, 55, for his reported involvement in the shooting death of Huey Sonnier, 53.
That shooting happened on June 18 in the 2700 block of Calumet St.
Thomas was charged and booked into East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for 2nd degree murder and illegal use of a weapon.
Thomas is currently in East Baton Rouge Parish Prison for an unrelated charge.

2nd degree murder
Attempt 2nd degree murder
Aggravated assault
Domestic abuse, child endangerment
Felony theft (auto)
Simple robbery
Possession of marijuana
Illegal use of a weap
