MORGAN CITY, La. (WAFB) - A federal parolee recently arrested for allegedly dealing drugs is facing additional charges after officials say he was linked to a series of sex crimes.

According to the Morgan City Police Department (MCPD), officers arrested Michael Anthony Noel, 53, of Morgan City, for the new charges on Monday afternoon, Oct. 13. Those charges include two counts of third-degree rape, two counts of sexual battery, eight counts of video voyeurism, and misdemeanor sexual battery.

Police said they found evidence of a series of sex crimes after he was arrested for allegedly dealing fentanyl, cocaine, and methamphetamine.

Noel was booked on charges related to the sex crimes investigation and remains behind bars, awaiting judicial proceedings.
