NEW YORK – The high expectations opposing women’s basketball coaches had for Providence took just one year to fade.

The Friars were picked 10 th in the latest Big East preseason poll, which was released Tuesday afternoon at Madison Square Garden. Xavier was the lone program keeping Providence out of the basement entering this 2025-26 campaign.
