Demanding transparency from local police in Hamden. An activist group says it wants answers from the police department about its contact with Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or ICE, after a raid last week.

Chants could be heard outside of the Hamden Police Department Tuesday as activists from Unidad Latina en Accion, or ULA, demanded answers from local police after an ICE raid last week.

One protestor, who’s also a local teacher, said it’s created fear for his students in neighboring New Haven.

“My students live in constant fear of that happening to them or their families,” Lance Boos, of New Haven, said.
