Veteran broadcaster Bryant Gumbel has reportedly been hospitalized following a medical emergency at his Manhattan residence.
According to TMZ , the 77-year-old former host of TODAY and Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel was seen leaving his apartment on a gurney at around 9 p.m. on Monday (October 20). As of Tuesday (October 21), Gumbel was reportedly still receiving treatment at a local hospital.
A family member told TMZ that Gumbel is "okay," but declined to share further details about his condition or what led to the medical emergency.
Gumbel is a four-time Emmy Award winner who made television history as the first Black co-host of TODAY in 1982. He later joined CBS and launched the critically acclaimed Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel on HBO in 1995, which ran for ne
