The Hawaii women’s volleyball team hit negative for an entire match for the first time this season as UC Irvine swept the Rainbow Wahine 25-7, 25-17, 25-20 today at Bren Events Center in Irvine, Calif.

Morghn Monahan, who had five kills in her entire two-year UH career, finished with a career-high seven to lead UH, which hit minus-0.41.

Hawaii set a program record for losses in a season, falling to 7-13 overall and 3-6 in Big West Conference play.

Kendra Duffey had a match-high 11 kills for the Anteaters (8-13, 3-6), who had lost four of their last five before sweeping Hawaii in less than 90 minutes.

UC Irvine has won three straight against UH after losing 47 of the first 48 meetings.
