Delhiites woke up surrounded by a heavy blanket of smog on Wednesday. The Air Quality Index (AQI) across Delhi saw a significant drop, plummeting to 338 under the ‘very poor’ category at 8 am. Just two days after Diwali, the alarmingly high pollution levels took a big dip, raising concerns regarding the deteriorating air quality. While Akshardham registered a concerning AQI of 360 under the ‘very poor’ category this morning, the air quality plummeted to 380 around RK Puram, as per the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
