STATEWIDE -- With election day fast approaching, organizations are making their positions on the upcoming ballot questions known.
In one of the latest announcements, Maine's largest police union, the Fraternal Order of Police, says it is against Ballot Question 2.
In a press release, the union stated that Question 2 is "a disaster waiting to happen".
For context, question two seeks to allow courts to temporarily prohibit a person from having dangerous weapons if law enforcement, family, or household members show that the person poses a significant danger of causing physical injury to themselves or others.
