Hearing set on carbon dioxide storage facility in Randolph County

WINCHESTER, IN — The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has recently announced a 49-day public comment period on its intent to issue a permit to inject and store carbon dioxide underground at the Cardinal Ethanol facility in Randolph County.

According to a news release, the process of permanently storing carbon underground is known as “carbon sequestration.”
