LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Drivers may want to begin prepping their vehicles as cooler temperatures and frost threats approach.

James O’Daniel, manager of local business S&S Tire, said drivers should check their tire pressure and treads, as well as wiper blades.

Worn blades may streak, causing poor visibility, according to O’Daniel.

Although some drivers may notice their tire pressure lights turning on, O’Daniel said this signal is caused by air contracting in colder temperatures, as tire pressure decreases by about one PSI for every 10 degree fall.
