BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - We’re getting an update on the elderly man in Bibb County whose family says is dealing with serious injuries after several dogs attacked him back in September.

We’re told 81-year-old Jamie Boyd is still in critical condition in the ICU at UAB after his attorney says he was attacked by seven dogs - a combination of pit bulls and pit bull mixes - while walking to his mailbox off Ingate Road.

His wife witnessed the attack and tried to help, despite being on a walker.

Boyd’s attorney, Paul Patterson, said the 81-year-old isn’t doing well right now. The family asks the community to continue to pray for him.
