Diwali celebrations turn tragic in Beed after a firecracker explodes in a child’s hand; doctors urge strict parental supervision.

Diwali, the festival of joy and light, turned into a night of grief for a family in Beed, Maharashtra. On Monday evening, a six-year-old boy sustained severe injuries when a firecracker exploded in his hand. Believing the firecracker had gone out, he attempted to relight it, and it burst unexpectedly.

The child was immediately taken to Beed Civil Hospital and later shifted to a private hospital for advanced treatment. On Tuesday, doctors confirmed that the explosion caused irreparable damage to his cornea, resulting in the complete loss of vision in one eye.
