On 9 October, Donald Trump , his British and European disciples, obliging Arab autocrats, and the ineffectual President of the West Bank, Mahmoud Abbas, gathered in Egypt, and smiled as a “peace treaty” was signed.

After the news of this so-called peace deal broke, I wrote: “ Palestinians are understandably relieved and hope this peace deal gives the living back their stolen and broken lives. It is the hope of the hopeless, the faith of those who have nothing else. I have no such hopes, no such faith. The peace deal led by Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu is a sham… There will be no end to Israel’s state terrorism.”
