Social media personality Sam Walker has returned to hospital after being shot and stabbed in the summer, a court has heard.

The 42-year-old was due to appear at Liverpool Crown Court on Monday (October 20).

But Walker was instead at the Countess of Chester Hospital , having been 'suffering problems' as a result of the incident three months ago, his defence told court.

Walker is accused of sending a message communicating threats of serious harm between August 17 and September 13 this year, the Liverpool Echo reports .

He was due in court for a pre-trial preparation hearing. Robert Wyn Jones, representing Walker, said: "Sadly he is in A&E at Chester Hospital waiting to be seen.
