New Delhi: Former Pakistan Test skipper Misbah-ul-Haq is set to take a crucial role in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). A reliable source in the PCB told PTI that the chairman, Mohsin Naqvi , convinced the former skipper to take the position.

Misbah is likely to become the Director of International Cricket Operations in the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). As per the qualification criteria for the key position, the individual should be a former international or domestic cricketer.

The former captain is still closely connected with the PCB and the chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, in his capacity as mentor and advisor. Misbah also played an important role in the removal of Mohammad Rizwan as captain of the ODI team.
