SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - For the second time this week a cold front will move past the suncoast today. This will provide us with an overnight shot of drier air and help sustain the pleasant early fall weather.

For most of today the winds will remain with a northly component. This will sustain the flow of drier, moderate dew point air to the Suncoast. Because of this, the next front will enter the area with dry air in place and so not be able to squeeze out any rain.

What the front will do is to bring in some drier air. Our dew points will drop into the upper 50s by Friday morning. This will allow for overnight lows to fall into the mid 60s.

Dry air has the ability to allow temperatures to drop at night but also warm during the day. Because of that property, we will see the afternoon high
