Mid 50 morning winds will climb to the low 70s for afternoon highs with continued gusty southwest winds and sunny skies. The dry conditions and gusty winds will bring a higher fire risk to eastern NC on Wednesday.

We will be dry and sunny through the end of the week, with rain chances remaining scarce. Highs will run generally in the upper 60s, with overnight lows in the 40s.

The next chance to get some raindrops into eastern North Carolina is currently targeting early to middle of next week.
