Congress MP P Chidambaram welcomed Shaw’s proposal but cautioned that the city’s infrastructure woes go beyond a shortage of funds. “The problem with our public works is not the lack of money; it is in the execution,” Chidambaram said in an online post, suggesting a system that could hold private industry accountable for the quality and timely delivery of public projects.
