Congress MP P. Chidambaram has welcomed Biocon Chairperson Kiran Mazumdar Shaw's offer regarding Bengaluru's dilapidated roads. Chidambaram said, 'The problem is not of money, but of work not being done correctly. The government should award a contract to a company not only for the work itself but also for its supervision.'

Actually, Kiran Shaw had said on October 19, "Bengaluru's infrastructure is continuously deteriorating. If the government cannot repair the roads, I will personally get 10 roads built."
