Two women arrested with huge quantity of cannabis and charas in Shopian: Police

As part of its sustained efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from society, Shopian Police arrested two women drug peddlers and recovered huge quantities of crushed Cannabis and Charas-like substance from their possession within the jurisdiction of Police Post Wachi.

A Police spokesperson said that During routine naka checking at Melhura Zainapora, two women moving under suspicious circumstances while carrying large bags were intercepted by the naka party. Upon search of these bags, 15 Kgs of crushed Cannabis and 1 Kg of Charas-like substance were recovered.

The accused have been identified as Rubeena Akhtar, resident of Rakhi Litter Pulwama, and Nargis Jan, resident of Kawani Dagripora Pulwama.
