In Thurmont election, current mayor and past mayor compete for seat

As Thurmont’s town election nears, Mayor John Kinnaird and Commissioner Martin Burns are running to reclaim the seat they each held for 12 years.

Although the pair have served together on the Board of Commissioners for several years, they do not see eye to eye on the best methods to address town issues, including growth and finances.
