BOE committee proposes no longer compelling pronoun use, keeps other accommodations intact

After months of discussion, the school board’s Policy Committee has proposed no longer compelling the use of a student’s preferred names and pronouns.

The committee also proposed continuing to allow students to use facilities and play on sports teams that match their gender identity.
