TrustNordisk has picked up international sales rights on the Norwegian film Vampyr , based on Steffen Kverneland’s book of the same name, directed by Arild Fröhlich (Fatso), ahead of the AFM .

The film was produced by Norwegian production company Maipo Film. The film began principal photography today, October 22, and will be presented to buyers at AFM.

Pål Sverre Hagen ( Kon-Tiki ), Ane Dahl Torp ( The Wave ), Kristine Kujath Thorp ( The Promised Land ), Ingvild Holthe Bygdnes ( The Tunnel ), and Carl Martin Eggesbø ( Skam ) star in the film.

The official synopsis reads: A struggling author, who is obsessed with Edvard Munch, finds himself on the verge of madness when he’s dragged into a dangerous murder mystery that uncovers a horrifying truth about the world-famous pain
