Kannada blockbuster Kantara: Chapter 1 is making waves at the box office and is on track to surpass the lifetime collections of the Hindi hit Chhaava, becoming the highest-grossing film of 2025.

The makers have now officially announced a global English release, with the poster revealing the film’s runtime. Scheduled for October 31, 2025, the English version runs 2 hours, 14 minutes, and 45 seconds, almost 30 minutes shorter than the original version currently playing in cinemas. Fans have been asking the team why the runtime was reduced and which scenes were cut.
