Amid reports that US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin were set to meet in Budapest to discuss the potential end of the Russia-Ukraine conflict, there is indication that the potential meeting may not happen.

President Trump reacted to the reports, stating that he doesn’t want a “wasted meeting.”

“I don’t want to have a wasted meeting,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office when asked about the ‘shelved’ meeting with Putin.

“I don’t want to waste time, so I’ll see what happens,” he added.
