(Washington, DC) — A pair of South Dakota Republicans are blaming Democrats for allowing the government shutdown to enter its fourth week. Senate Majority Leader John Thune said Tuesday he hopes the Democrats get wise and start voting to open the government. Senator Mike Rounds said he believes more of his Democratic colleagues are questioning the logic of having the shutdown continue. He also said he does not support the so-called “nuclear option” that would change Senate rules to break a filibuster.
