SALT LAKE CITY — A 59-year-old man injured in an auto-pedestrian accident in Salt Lake City Monday night has died.
According to Sgt. Miles Southworth with the Salt Lake City Police Department, the accident happened near 500 S. 300 West at approximately 7:30 p.m.
Police said Scott Hunt was struck while riding his bike across the street. He was taken to the hospital where he died of his injuries.
“The specific cause and circumstances of the crash are under investigation,” police said. “The driver of the car remained on scene and is cooperating with the investigation.”
Police did not say whether or not Hunt was within a crosswalk while crossing the street.
At the time of the accident the driver was cooperating with police.
