The first game of the season can always create some interesting injury situations that no one saw coming.

That includes Anthony Edwards. The Minnesota Timberwolves star popped up on the injury report on Tuesday, ahead of the Wednesday season opener.

Minnesota is in Portland to open the season against the Portland Trail Blazers in a game that tips off at 10 p.m. ET (9 p.m. CT, 7 p.m. PT).

Edwards is a blossoming superstar, one that the Timberwolves and the whole NBA would much rather see on the court than on the sideline.

But there's at least some question about his opening night availability now.
