The Fort Payne Police Department has arrested and charged a man with multiple gambling related offenses following law enforcement raids on three local businesses.

According to FPPD Chief David Davis, several tips from the public indicated that gambling machines were inside the businesses located at 601 Gault Ave S, 1515 Gault Ave N and 1506 A Gault Ave N.

Gael Garcia, 20, of Albertville, has been charged with possession of gambling devices, conspiracy to promote gambling, promoting gambling and possession of gambling records.

As a result of the operations, 38 illegal gambling machines were located and seized. Upon further investigation it was also discovered that the machines were doing cash payouts. Police reported seizing over $7,200.
