TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) - A Pinellas County nonprofit that relies on donations to help seniors in need of housing and meal assistance finally has it's donation money, after calling Better Call Behnken for help with a fundraising platform.
The Area on Aging for Pinellas-Pasco called 8 On Your Side Consumer Investigator Shannon Behnken after they say California-based Flipcause delayed dispersing their donations since February. At one time, more than $20,000 was withheld; when they group called Behnken they were still without about $12,000 and the company, they say, had cut off communication.
Hours after the Better Call Behnken story, the nonprofit received every penny.
