A boss’s text demanding work from a vacationing employee has gone viral, sparking debate about workplace boundaries.

Workplace expert Ben Askins has gained a cult following on social media by sharing anonymous text message exchanges between bosses and workers.

Askins shared a recent exchange in which a boss messaged a worker, demanding help even though the worker was on vacation.

“What are you doing right now?” The boss texted.

The boss then explained that he needed the employee, Jake, to drop some creative shots into a deck for an upcoming meeting with a client. 3

“Jake I know you are off today but I really need this sorted before the meeting at 1. Where are the raw files?” The boss demanded.
