Parents in the Jefferson County Public Schools district continued to voice their frustration over a proposal to shift the attendance zones for two East End middle schools during a listening session with district leaders Oct. 21.
The proposal, which would impact Echo Trail and Crosby middle schools, is currently being considered because Echo Trail’s current enrollment is over capacity. District data show the school's capacity is 1,044 students, but 1,188 enrolled at Echo Trail during the 2025-26 school year.
