NAUGATUCK, Conn — Multiple people were injured after a shooting and a crash in Naugatuck late Tuesday, police said.

Police identified Alam Flores, 19, of Naugatuck as the shooter and arrested him Wednesday.

Around 11:15 p.m., Naugatuck officers were called to the intersection of North Church Street (Route 63) and Mill Street on the report of a car crash into a guardrail.

When officers got to the scene, they spoke with the passengers from the car. They reportedly told police that the car had been shot at in the area of Mill Street and Baumers Pond.

The passengers reported minor injuries due to the crash. According to police, one of the passengers had a minor injury "consistent with a gunshot."
