Contrary perhaps to its name, ‘Witches on the Water’ is a family-friendly, fun outing that’s all for a good cause.
A first-time Halloween-related event in Peachland on Saturay encourages people to dress up as witches or warlocks and go for a paddle on Okanagan Lake.
“Whether you’re a witch at heart or just looking for a cool experience, this gathering is perfect to connect, chill, and enjoy some mystical fun together,” organizers say in a release.
The event takes place Saturday from 1 p.m.-3 p.m. The gathering place is at the corner of Todd Road and Beach Avenue. Witches and warlocks without paddleboards can bring out their floaties, canoes, or kayaks.
Participants must be 18 or older, or accompanied by a legal guardian, and everyone taking to the water is asked to bring a non-perishab
