KENTON COUNTY, Ky. (WXIX) - Investigators need the public’s help identifying a homicide victim from a 1982 cold case.

According to Kenton County police, the victim, named Mr. X, was found dead in the wood line at the north end of Locust Pike Park in Ryland Heights by Kenton County Public Works employees Nov. 4, 1982.

Police say his death is listed as a homicide.

The victim is described as a 5′7″ man who weighs 147 pounds and is believed to be between 60 and 70 years old.

He has several tattoos:

“MH” on his upper right arm

“HELEN” on his lower left arm

“Mother” on his lower right arm

Police say the victim was wearing a plaid button up shirt, blue pants and “worn shoes.” Investigators also found glasses nearby.
