National Nuclear Security Administration to furlough staff, including at Pantex

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - The federal agency Pantex is under, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), will furlough staff as the government shutdown continues.

CNN reported today about 1,400 employees would receive their furlough notices today.

More jobs could be at risk when NNSA funding runs out October 27 and contractors run out of money.

At this time, Pantex has not responded to NewsChannel 10’s request for information on these furloughs.
