CORONADO, Calif. (FOX 5/KUSI) — NASCAR unveiled the course layout and racetrack map for next year's highly anticipated race weekend in America's Finest City, where high-adrenaline excitement and patriotism will be set against the backdrop of San Diego's stunning waterfront views.

The map and course layout were revealed on Tuesday in digital renderings of a challenging 16-turn, 3.4-mile street race circuit at Naval Base Coronado.

Highlights of the course include a sharp left-hand turn located between the docking location of two aircraft carriers (Turn 5, Carrier Corner), a series of turns that will challenge drivers toward the interior of the base (Turn 8, Coronado Chicane), and another challenging turn located near the north end of Runway 18/36 at Halsey Field (Turn 14, Runway Road).
