New Delhi, Oct 22: India's Diwali trade this year reached historic highs, with industry leaders hailing the Rs 6.05 lac crore sales figure as a strong indicator of rising consumer confidence, fueled by the 'Made in India' movement and recent economic reforms under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

A nationwide survey by the Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) revealed this was India’s highest-ever Diwali trade, pointing to a growing preference for domestic products and an uptick in festive spending.
