RANDOLPH COUNTY, N.C. — Two Randolph County men are being accused of cattle rustling, according to a release from the Randolph County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were contacted by the Chatham County Sheriff's Office on Oct. 17 in reference to cows stolen from Royal Ridge Rd. in Ramseur.
The cows were later old at a stockyard in Chatham County.
Deputies underwent an investigation, leading them to charge 34-year-old Randall Ray Burgess and 44-year-old Zachary Banks Todd with felony larceny of cattle.
Both men were arrested on Oct. 21 and taken to the Randolph County Detention Center. Todd was also served a warrant from Chatham County for felony obtain property by false pretense, felony identity theft and felony possession of stolen goods.
