BIRMINGHAM, Ala. ( WBRC ) - Before Alabama A&M and Alabama State meet on the gridiron in Legion Field, the party gets started Saturday morning with the annual Magic City Classic Parade.

The parade begins at 8 a.m. at 18th Street North and 7th Avenue North.

The parade route will turn right onto 19th Street North and then left on 6th Avenue North. A right onto Richard Arrington Boulevard and finally onto 4th Avenue North leads the parade to its end at 16th Street North and 4th Avenue North.

In preparation of Saturday’s parade, the City of Birmingham will not allow any parking on the parade route after 11 p.m. Friday. Any vehicle found parked on on the route after the deadline will be towed.

Just a few hours later, the roads that are part of the parade route will be closed entirely.
