IOWA CITY, Iowa (KCRG) - Out of a nationwide pool of 180 candidates, an Iowa senior defensive tackle is a finalist for the 2025 William V. Campbell Trophy.
On Tuesday the National Football Foundation named Aaron Graves as one of 16 candidates up for the award. Being named a finalist makes Graves a member of the NFF National Scholar-Athlete Class, and he’ll get an $18,000 postgraduate scholarship.
Graves has started every game this season, walking away so far with 25 tackles, three hurries, and two sacks. In the 37-0 shutout against Wisconsin, Graves got his first interception, running it back 35 yards to the one yard line.
In a news release, the NFF President and CEO says their awards committee had a challenging task selecting their candidates this year.
