Chatham-Kent councillors voted to move ahead with purchasing several properties for potential housing.

In one report, presented Monday, staff recommended the municipality buy the John N. Given Centre for Education property from the Lambton Kent District school board for $1.6 million, to be funded by reserves through money received from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corp. housing accelerator fund.
