WATERTOWN, New York (WWNY) - A Watertown man faces an animal cruelty charge for allegedly kicking a puppy several times.
City police arrested 61-year-old Steven Beach on Tuesday.
According to police, Beach was walking a puppy on West Main Street on Tuesday afternoon when he allegedly kicked the dog several times.
A witness called the police, who arrested Beach within the hour.
Dog control took custody of the puppy. It’s unclear if the animal was injured.
Police said Beach told them he had pushed the dog with his foot a few times to make it go to the bathroom.
Beach was released to appear in city court on November 6.
