A $12 million development proposal to bring new shops and a fast-food outlet to Yanchep is expected to get the official go-ahead, with the City of Wanneroo recommending the project for approval.
Located on vacant land in the Yanchep Village Shopping Centre precinct, across the road from Yanchep Secondary college, the proposal includes nine bulky goods showrooms and a fast-food outlet, with a drive-through, in the carpark.
The showrooms and fast-food outlet proposals vary in size from 335sqm to 996sqm and would be accompanied by 110 new parking bays.
Public consultation on the proposal was held in June, with 29 submissions received in response, of which 14 were in support and 11 objected.
