Martin St. Louis is going back to his No. 2 netminder.
Backup Jakub Dobes will start for the Montreal Canadiens against the Calgary Flames on Wednesday (Sportsnet, 8:30 p.m. ET), while starter Sam Montembeault will return to the net Thursday against the Edmonton Oilers, St. Louis confirmed.
It’ll mark the second straight start for Dobes, who made 30 saves in a 4-2 win over the Buffalo Sabres on Monday.
On the season, the 24-year-old Czech native is 3-0-0 with a sparkling .939 save percentage and 1.64 goals-against average.
Montembeault, meanwhile, has gotten off to a slow start.
The Becancour, Que., native has allowed 13 goals in four starts, going 2-2 with an .857 save percentage and 3.26 GAA.
Montreal had a 5-2-0 record entering Wednesday’s action as it looks to follow up last seas
