BLAINE, Minn. — Auto repairs can swallow up a chunk of your paycheck, especially when times are tough, and everything is getting more expensive.

A Minnesota business is trying to do its part, launching a grassroots effort to "Repair It Forward." Motor Works Auto, with nine locations across the state, is asking people to nominate someone who could use some help getting their vehicle up to snuff. It could be a friend, neighbor, coworker or family member going through a tough time - any deserving person needing a hand up.

Motor Works will go through the nominations and select someone to receive $1,000 in free repairs at each of the company's locations.
