SOUTH HURON – A new water and wastewater rate study for South Huron is projecting cost increases for customers in the municipality.
Nancy Neale and Tina Chitsinde of consultants Watson and Associates spoke at council’s Oct. 20 meeting to provide an update on the in-progress study, which includes recommended new rates, an identification of water and wastewater capital needs, anticipated growth, consumption trends and cost-recovery options. The study will also include a water financial plan.

The document, an update of the municipality’s 2019 study, is not yet complete, so Watson and Associates will be appearing at future council meetings as work progresses.
