LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A husband and wife are dead following what police said is a murder-suicide.

Las Vegas Metropolitan police responding to a welfare check on Tuesday at a Sun City home on Glacier View Avenue, near W. Lake Mead Boulevard, and the 215, discovered the couple. Officers had to crawl in through a window and found the man and woman.

Police said it appears the man shot his wife and then himself. The couple had been recently informed that their medical conditions had worsened.

The Clark County Coroner's office will release their identities.
