A North Carolina family received a huge surprise from Taylor Swift this week.

Two-year-old Lilah Smoot, who is from North Carolina, has been battling a rare and aggressive form of cancer for the past eight months.

Just this week, Taylor Swift donated $100,000 to her GoFundMe page.

"I love the song 'Opalite,' said Lilah's Mom, Katelynn Smoot. "Dancing through the lightning strikes. That's kind of what we are doing. We are just dancing through what we are going through."

Taylor Swift's songs can often carry the Smoot family through some of the toughest times, as they dance their way through their own storms.

"There are hard days," Smoot said. "But we do have good moments."
