West Shore RCMP officers are now equipped with body-worn cameras.
The cameras will capture a clear record of officers' interactions in the community in real time, assisting in gathering evidence, and helping to ensure transparency and accountability.
According to an RCMP news release, all officers using the cameras have received training for when and how they are used, as well as how the recorded data is securely stored and managed.
The program also follows strict privacy and data protection policies, ensuring footage is only used for lawful and authorized purposes.
